I found this beautiful stone at a Bead Show and I have to tell you that the photos just don’t do it justice!! It is so beautiful!! I am not sure what the writing is, or even the symbol (there is a debate wither it is a bat or owl) but it is beautiful! I matched it up with black Delica Seed Beads (and a few linen colored) to make the center stand out!!
This necklace took over 18 hours to complete. I used peyote and herringbone stitch to complete it. The center is made without the use of GLUE or BACKING. The center sets inside beads that are between 11o and 15o (this means there are between 11 – 15 beads per inch).
Necklace measures at 18.5 – 20 inches in length and can be lengthened if needed. Center hangs down 2.5 inches from top of strap.
