Lady of the River Avadale – Beadwoven Agate Slice – Wearable Art Neckalce

This Agate slice is so beautiful!  I love the ‘wavy’ look of the stone itself!  I tried to mimic that in the frame and strap.  With 2 different looks (each side is finished differently) you will get a lot of use out of it!!  And remember, because there is no backing you can actually still see through the center Agate and the cloths (or skin) underneath will add to the look!! Throughout the time I was working on it I was reminded of waves of a river, so that is where the name came from!!

This necklace took over 37 hours to complete. I used peyote, square stitch and herringbone stitch to complete it. The center is made without the use of GLUE or BACKING. The center sets inside beads that are between 11o and 15o (this means there are between 11 – 15 beads per inch).

Necklace measures at 18 – 19.5 inches in length and can be lengthened if needed.
