Queen Violante Purple Beadwoven Necklace Set

Queen Violante Purple Beadwoven Necklace Set

Just look at the Queen!  Isn’t she beautiful?  This necklace started out elegant and turned into something very regal so she needed the name of a queen!  This purple Agate Slice has such a unique center to it that is looks like it is cracked and broken.  It isn’t.  The small ‘dashes’ of purple are darker on the front than on the back!

Violante /vi-olan-te/ [4 sylls.] as a girls’ name is of Greek and Latin origin, and the meaning of Violante is “purple flower”. The source of Yolanda. The Catalan form is borne by Violant of Hungary, a Catalan queen from the Middle Ages.

This necklace took over 49 hours to complete. I used peyote and herringbone stitch to complete it. The center is made without the use of GLUE or BACKING. The center sets inside beads that are between 11o and 15o (this means there are between 11 – 15 beads per inch). The strap is made with herringbone stitch and it very flexible and strong.

Necklace measures at 16.5 – 18 inches in length and can be lengthened if needed.  Gemstones hang 4 inches from strap.

Earrings measure at 2 inches and can be changed to posts or clip-on’s for no additional charge.
