Talented Tuesday 8/12/14 (Aye, Ladybug and Painting From the Heart)

Well, today is another beading day for me, but I will also be watching my daughter run around and try and get her laundry done!  She has a whole summer worth of things to clean up and organize before school starts at the beginning of next week!!  For me it is so funny to have her experience just a little of what I usually go through!! At 14 I am making her do it all (well, most of it) and she is surprised at how much there is to do!! But, for me – some vindication!! ha ha ha ha ha
My little girl is growing up!!
Although this is one of my older creations, I just love it.  It is so simple and easy to wear, but so wonderful!!  And just look at the price!! Just click on the photo to see more photos are find out about the listing!!

Today I have the honor and pleasure to introduce a dear friend and fellow artist; Ms. Elfie Morgan the owner of Painting from the Heart.  I have known this amazing artist for many years and I am always amazed at her talent and great heart!
Painting on mostly wood – of all sized and shapes – she gives dimension and beauty to all her her creations.  The amazing ladybug that I am currently working on is just ONE of the three that I recently purchased from her….want to see them??  Aren’t I LUCKY!?!?!?!

Ms. Elfie signed up for an 8 week beginner class in 1991 that she saw advertised at an Open House for Folk Art Painting.  She had no idea that what she was signing up for would become her passion for the rest of her life!  Learning how to paint flowers, animals and landscapes she quickly developed a skill and look all of her own!! Now, 23 years later her talent shines through even more!!  In each of her creations you can see depth and life – no matter the subject!
Come back tomorrow and I’ll show you even more of her creations and tell you more about Ms. Elfie!!

Sometimes us kids don’t realize just how MUCH our parents (especially moms) do for us so it’s a big deal when we have to do a lot ourselves! Good for you for forcing your daughter to do some of these things on her own; she’ll thank you for it later on down the road! Good luck to her on her new school year 🙂
