Terrific Tuesday 11/6/12

Life seems to find a way to tell us to slow down and make a change, even if we don’t want to.  For about a week I had been having shooting pain down my neck, back shoulder blades and top of the ribs on the right side.  The best way I can describe it is as a ‘stitch in your side’ that just wont go away.  when I moved or took a deep breath I was in severe pain.  It would come and go during the day, but at night when I was sitting in the evenings it was the worst.  I took some ‘gas’ pills and that seemed to help, but then it would come back.  I kept thinking it was ‘just gas’ and so I just put up with it.
Then Sunday night as I sat calmly watching TV I got a whole body flush and very nauseous.  Time to go, I thought.  Leaving the kids as home I went to the local clinic (it was closest) and after an EKG and some other monitoring I was told to go to the emergency room.  More EKG’s and more testing and I was told that I wasn’t have a heart atacht or stroke, but I was having a ‘irregular’ heartbeat.  So, I was admitted.
Many test, many EKG’s, a stress test and no sleep, fluids or food for almost 20 hours and I was told that I was OK.  My tests all ended up OK, and they think I have 2 problems.  I have a gastro inflammation and a strained neck mussel that is causing the pain down my neck and back.  The irregular heartbeat – still there, but just makes me ‘a little different’.
So, it is back to life, back to reality for me!!
And, more beading, it will help me keep calm, right??!?!!!

My featured artist is  Hippiescreations.  This amazing artist has her ‘craft fingers’ in many different mediums, but they are all simply beautiful!!  After reading her BIO I found out that her ‘youngest is a special needs kiddo, who was struggling for the first 7 years of his life – he’s 8!’.  I can so understand some of her struggles!!  She has even written a book about her life and is just full of life.  Please go check out her studio, and some of her other social media sites.  Remember to always support handmade artist whenever you can.
