What a day! Yesterday I was so busy, but all in a good way! I was able to bead (which means relax) and also do the laundry, play with the kids and even cook dinner….just about perfect! I try to focus my day, just like I would if I worked out of the house, but sometimes I just have to keep doing things beyond beading!! Many people ask me how I balance all of it, so I thought I talk about it!! Most days I kick off my morning with about 2 hours of computer work!! Here is a basic/normal timeline for me!!
430am – 630am Computer work (marketing, scheduling posts and printing postage/invoices for sold items)
630am – 830am Make breakfast, lunches and get the kids (and hubby too) out the door to school and work
830am – 530pm Focus on beading, designing patterns, packaging up order to send out – KRAFTY MAX TIME
530pm – until bed Focus on FAMILY TIME
I truly do treat this like a business, as I should….because it is!! For the past 10 years I have had a business license and paid sales taxes!! For many people creating their art is simply a hobby or something they do on the side. For me, it is my passion, my business and a lot of my life! Even though I work ‘in the home’ I still am working!! I just happen to do something I truly love to do!! And if any of you are wondering, it is all because of my husband!! YEP! Because he works hard (outside the home) and provides us with insurance and a good income I am able to do what I love and be there for our kids! Talk about the best of everything!
Yesterday I did some more beading on my AMAZING Mirrix Loom!! I am just loving this loom!! Just look how far I got!! Here is where I got yesterday 30 rows and 2940 beads. Today I’ll be working along again, but I do have to take some of the afternoon off for a school function! Remember that you can check out
