Hello & Happy Monday Everyone!! So last Mondy was Labor Day…Did you all do something fun and creative, or did you have to work?!?! I was fortunate to be able to relax and bead…starting a new 5×7 art tapestry. That was about all I did last week…worked on the 5×7 tapestry and even got to finish it up by the end of the week. I also put up the listing for the previous WIP I finished of the Butterfly and Flower. When I was not beading, I did my daily home chores and did dinners and even had my weekly (on Wednesday) Bingo night. I have to say that this past week was relatively calm and quiet and not too much going on…so today’s blog will be a quick review of my daily beading achievements, the listing for the Butterfly & Flower, and the kit of the month for September…there are still a few kits leftover from past kits too but not too many left!! I will soon be revising what I have and will put that up in the next blog post. I didn’t see anything new this past week for updates and news in my K~Max Klub group…maybe next week there will be something new to share on that end, but for now let’s look back at my daily progress with this past week’s WIP ☺.
The actual day that I started my WIP was on Friday, September 1. The first 5 rows (230 beads) I started off with were only background rows with a light turquoise color. If you look closely, you can see that this pattern is a 2-drop peyote stitch pattern. At the end of that day, I had gotten to row 25 (1,150 beads) and there was something beginning to take shape, but no one was able to guess what the design might be yet. When I came back to my bead tray on Monday, September 4th, I kicked off my day with 50 rows (2,300 beads) done and at that point I think it was starting to be visible of what the design would look like 😉. By the end of that day, I reached row 75 (3,450 beads) and the top part of his head is done and now coming into a tiny bit of green!! If you look closely, there are more than 1 type of black color delicas being used 😉. Tuesday, September 5th, I started my day off with a little bit more than I had the previous day (had a little bit of time before bed to put in a few more rows) at row 85 (3,910 beads) and now you can see quite a bit more of him… look at those eyes, well part of them anyways. After pulling rows of 5 at a time, and then weaving several sets in throughout that day, I came to a stop at row 105 (4,830 beads) when it was time to get my dinner started ☺. Just look at those eyes!!…they are complete now and will be moving on to the rest of his face soon. Wednesday, September 6th, I started off with a bit more done again at row 115 (5,290 beads) and there you can see that his face is almost complete! Now, you all know that Wednesdays are my BINGO nights, so I beaded until I had to get my dinner done and get ready for that…so I ended up stopping that day at row 135 (6,210 beads) and now you can definitely tell who it is (Toothless) and see his little wings and even I think the top part of his tail!! Thursday, September 7th, I kicked my day off with row 145(6,670 beads) and started to get down to his feet and another part of his tail. By the end of that day, I reached row 170 (7,820 beads) and toothless is now basically done…all that I had left to finish was to add some more of the border (background) to him. Friday 9/8, I was having one of those days…somethings going on here (nothing bad), but it took me away from my bead tray and computer for the day. So, for now, I will show you some of those working photos of what is done and by Monday 9/11, I should have the final pics up (I will not put up the listing of it because it has already been sold!! however, I do have the pattern available to buy and will list and show you that 😉) and the start of a new WIP 😉. Now, I am super excited to share with you the New Kit of the Month for September!! Who doesn’t love those cute little garden gnomes?!?! Now, another quick listing…this is the WIP I finished the previous week before starting the toothless one. This was of the beautiful and bright Stained-glass Butterfly and Flower 5×7, in which I framed and is now ready to hang or to be put up on the wall. Who wouldn’t love this beautiful art tapestry to add to their home or office to brighten up their day?!?! This is also a pattern you can find and buy to make on your own as well, in my shop! Pretty quick…Right?!?! This is all I have for now from last week, but I have a lot of new things in mind to come so, be sure you keep checking out all my pages for updates and news!!
