Hello & Happy Monday 💕!! How was everyone’s past two weekends?!?! I have been beading and gearing up for the new year of shows that will be starting up at the end of this month. I didn’t put up a blog post last Monday because I wanted to wait until I had more to show you all…there was not much to blog about and wanted to wait until I had the new monthly kit set up and ready. It is more fun for me to post and blog when I have more to show you 😉. So, two weekends ago, I got to celebrate my Hubby’s 53rd birthday…so it was a fun filled ‘party’ weekend!! I had time to do a little beading and ended up finishing the 5×7 Panda Art and have listed it since then. That means I started the following week (1/30) out with a new WIP. That was also the last week to order the January Peyote Bracelet kit of the month…and I have since put up the New kit for February for you all to see!! The week after that I had finished up the Zebra 5×7 Art and started not one but two more new WIP’s…a bracelet and then the beginning of another 5×7 tapestry!! As for my K~Max Klub group, one week was quiet and didn’t see any new things to share with you, but this past week, Robin shared on one of my pages of a finished tapestry pattern she had gotten from me and I have decided to start getting a new pattern ready for a new bead along to soon come…Let’s go ahead and review what I posted these past 2 weeks 😉.
SO, yeah, I started a new WIP on 1/30 and gave the hint I was sticking to the animal theme…you know because I had just finished the 5×7 Panda ☺. I started off with the first 5 rows (230 beads) with a very vibrant yellow background color and a hint of black & white up in the top corner. After that I am not sure what happened, but my update posts never posted for the rest of that day or the next 😤…one of these days I will figure out why or how this happens ☺. By the time my updates started posting again (Tuesday), I began my day on row 40 (1840 beads) and there you could see the ears and neck of the Zebra showing. By the time I needed to get my dinner going that day, I finished another 20 rows or so and stopped at row 60 (2760 beads) …there you could start to see more of the neck and forehead appearing. The next day (Wednesday 2/1), I started my day off at row 70 (3220 beads) and more of the forehead and neck…soon the face should be coming up 😉. That day I ended on row 90 (4140 beads) to go and get ready for my BINGO night ☺. Thursday 2/2, I started on row 100 (4600 beads) and the beginning of an eye starting. At the end of that day, I was up to row 120 (8520 beads) and now you could see the eye completely. That Friday, 3/3, I kicked my day off at row 130 (5980 beads) and was getting closer to the nose. I beaded until I needed to run over to my mothers-in-law to help work on some electronics for her…and stopped at row 150 (6900 beads) where you could see more of the neck, body and nose. When I came back to my bead tray the following week (2/5) I was kicking off at row 190 (8740 beads) with the whole face almost complete and part of the front of his body showing… I ended up finishing up that afternoon at row 200 (9200 beads) just needed to matt him and frame him to get final photos done to list him…for now, let’s see some of those working photos and later I’ll show the listing😉.
Now, I would like to show you the Panda 5×7 listing, then the New monthly Peyote Bracelet kit for February. The Panda 5×7 art was listed in the beginning of the week of 1/30 and is matted and framed -ready to be hung or shown on a shelf. It is a 2-drop peyote pattern that can also be found for sale in my pattern section of the shop for those who would like to make one themselves 😉. It has 6 colors and is great for those who love pandas or to add to zoo themed rooms for babies…in other words, great gift for multiple types of people/reasons ☺. It will be that type of gift that would keep on giving for generations to come!! Let me show you that listing before I go ahead and show you the listing for the February Monthly kit.
The New February Peyote of the month kit is now up and listed!! This one is called Fairy in the Mist and is a lovely and fun 2-drop even count peyote pattern that will include everything that you will need to make the bracelet except the thread. You will receive: the pattern printed in word form, all Delica beads needed, plated bar ends and findings, plus a needle!! If you are new to bead weaving and don’t know how…I have videos available to help you learn how!! This pattern is only available for the month of February and is now available until March 3, 2023, and would mail out by March 10, 2023. The great thing about these kits, you only need to buy the ones you want/need and if you don’t want one for a specific month-that’s ok 😉. The Delica colors are subject to change of availability.
Time for the next WIP ☺. This one I got to start on Monday (2/6) and was a 2-drop even count peyote bracelet pattern with only 2 colors!! I started with the first 10 rows (180 beads) which means there are only 18 beads per row, and it was all background color and finished up at row 20 (360 beads) for that evening with a hint of something starting to appear. Tuesday, 2/7, I started out on row 30 (540 beads) and still too little to tell what the design would be. When it was time for me to go and get dinner and do dishes that evening as well as get things set up for the next day, I finished up at row 60 (1080 beads) and I could already see it!! Wednesday, 2/8, I started at row 70 (1260 beads) and the design is more apparent…not too long after this post update, someone did guess that it is a firebird. I managed to jump ahead a BUNCH that day all the way to row 130(2340 beads) but there was something that looked way off to me…I left it at that so I could go ahead with my normal plans for Wednesday nights (BINGO😉). Thursday 2/9, I came back after trying to go another ten rows to 140 (2520 beads) and you could see that there was something really off with the tail of the firebird the previous night, so I ended taking some of the rows out and redid them all the way to row 150 (2700 beads), which is where I ended up starting that day. You can see the differences right aways in the pictures of how the tail got switched I think I probably skipped a row, and it flipped the tail to the wrong side. I finished later on in the afternoon at row 170 (3020 beads) and the firebird in done!! I did manage to get photos of this and will be one of the listings I will be showing soon 😉 but for now, let’s look at some of those working photos!!
Now, let’s look at another two listings that I recently put up in the last week ☻. One of them, the 5×7 Zebra Art is a 2-drop peyote pattern with 3 colors and has been matted and framed already and is ready to be hung up or put on a favorite shelf. This is another tapestry art that would make a great gift for those looking to do a zoo them for babies or for those who love animal themed art and would be able to be passed on for generations!! Before I show you the next listing of the firebird bracelet, let’s go ahead a look at the Zebra💕.
The other listing, the Peyote bracelet of the Firebird, is a 2-drop even count two color pattern and is a unique design that is sure to grab someone’s attention and bring out the fun in almost any outfit for anytime of the year. This pattern will soon also be available in my shop to make yourself-but for now, if you want it made already-grab it quickly as there is only one☺.
Next up, we have the last WIP I started later Thursday afternoon-a 5×7 art. I started out by showing you the first 5 rows done (230 beads) with 3 colors already showing. Not much to see yet but by the time I had to wrap it up for that day and get dinner going, I had 10 rows (460 beads) done, there was a little more to be seen but still difficult to see what it could be. I did give a clue however and let you know it was a HER☺. On Friday 2/10, I started my day off with row 20 (920 beads) and there was more starting to show!! I finished up that day at row 40 (1840 beads) and I can’t believe it, but someone was able to guess already that it is Tiana- Kawaii style inspired from the Princess and the frog!! At that point you could see the bun sticking out of the crown and some more hair in front of the crown…remember you can come and check out my any of my pages Facebook Fan Page, Google+ Page, or my Instagram Page to see where I am at or what I will be doing next 😉. For now, let’s look back at these first few working photos and you can come check out those pages to see where I am at for this upcoming week!!
The last listing, I have to show you for this week is the available past kits that I still have in stock ☺. I believe some of these kits might have sold already and no longer be available, but there are still quite a few different options available… you can check to see which ones by clicking the links under the photo collages 😉.
Last but not least, a quick update in my K~Max Klub Group 💕. There has not been too much to update about, but I did have someone post about a finished WIP from a pattern they got from me!! Robin had gotten the 5×7 ‘I love you’ pattern from me and she recently finished it and posted it-I can’t remember if she posted it in the Klub or on my regular page, but I wanted to make sure everyone got to see it and how wonderful of a job she did on it!! The other news I wanted to let my members in on, is that I will be planning a new bead a long soon, so keep an eye out for that!! Time to check out Robin’s post!!
Whew, that was a long one…especially after adding in all the new listings!! That’s okay though, I would rather it be long with lots of lovely things to show off instead of it being short or not having much to show-it makes it more fun to me anyways!!
