I hope that today you are able to honor those who have served our country – current and past. As many of you know I served in the Navy for 4 years and have been around the military my entire life. My husband was in the Army and now is in the National Guard. My oldest son served in the Army. My father and my father-in-law were both in the Navy. Of our (husband and I) combined 8 grandparents, 5 served (4 male and 1 female)! And that is only the DIRECT relatives!! So, as you can see, the military is not only a part of my life, but also my history. So today I say THANK YOU to all those that have served (no matter where or when) for providing us with the freedom and lifestyle that we currently have!
Like any Monday I have a lot to talk about and show you!! First let me tell you that I have decided to participate in a 30 day blogging challenge. Today is the first day!! I have several prompts to start me off, I think today I’ll chose…..
How to be happy at any time. For me this isn’t so much as a choice and a lifestyle. Now, don’t get me wrong, there are days…..but, I have to look at my life and be happy and thankful. For over 10 years I have been able to do what I love – bead and teach – because of the support of my family. And never has that been more evident than over the last 3-5 months. With all the changes that I have been making there are 100 more behind the scene that you don’t see. From simple finding choices to purchasing some new items. But, no matter what the support for me to make this work and to allow me to do what I love is simply amazing!! Because my husband works so hard (and provides us with benefits) everyday I am able to put ALL of myself into this business. Because I have a daughter who loves to promote my creations and has a GREAT design eye I have been able to show off new creations. She has also helped me at almost ever show I have done over the last 8 years! My son who loves to separate, rip out and collect beads from projects which frees my time for actually beading!! All things said, how could I NOT be happy?? 🙂
And now, a NEW listing!! YEP, something new to start off the week! This one is simple and yet so fun!! It is adjustable by simply sliding the ‘flower dangle’ up or down in the center!
If you haven’t been watching then you might have missed this new creation I have been working on. Just look at these stones!! Today I will be able to finish off the 3rd stone and start some of the other parts that will go into it….let’s just hope I can get it the way I have envisioned….if I can, LOOOOOK OUT!! And then there is what we made in class on Friday Night…..just look at those bracelets!! I love them!! Mine, the red one, has already been confiscated by my daughter….she usually takes the ‘class’ creations….it is the way to expand her collection!! 🙂
