Merry Christmas & Happy New Years!!!

Hello & Happy Friday & Christmas Eve Day!!!! How is everyone doing?!?! The past two weeks have been fun and exciting with lots of beading, wrapping presents, going to shows, celebrating my daughter Ashley’s 22nd Birthday as well as going to Christmas parties!!! Today I plan on reviewing from last week to this week’s mini-week (only worked 3 days this week) and decided to take rest of time off to get my cooking started, finish last minute wrapping and just to spend some lovely quality family time with my family😍. I will still be beading and even working ahead a little (to show you all when I come back after the New Years) but won’t be posting anything until after the Nee Year!!! So today’s blog will also be about wishing you all a Safe, Happy, & Beautiful Christmas and New Year with your families 😃. Let’s get started with some beading happiness!!!😉

Where I began last Monday

I want to start of with a little review from last week 😃. Last week was mainly about working on the purple gemstone WIP! I know I am. It alone in saying this, but the photo of the gemstone does not do it any justice whatsoever to show how beautiful it truly is!! I can’t remember the color name of the Delica 11/0 beads I used to start building up my walls to go around the gemstone but if you look closely-they seem to have a jewel-like tone to them and bring out so much in this gemstone!! As I started to build up my walls using a type of circular peyote and I got it near the height I needed it, I stopped to go around that wall to add a layer of side beads to come back to in order to add fringe around it after tightening and enclosing the gemstone in. I do this, at this stage because as I start tightening my rows to enclose the gemstone in, it can be very difficult to add them (side beads for fringe) after the fact and even end up breaking beads in the main wall and possibly even ruining those walls already built. After getting that done I went on to begin tightening around the backside using smaller sized beads(15/0) in the same jewel tones and purple tones to make the gemstone stand out. I just love how the little frame I made encases it and makes it look…on to the other side now😉. I followed through on th front side like the same as I did for the back side and then started on the fringe-using small seed beads (15/0) and some bicone crystals. It’s hard to see in the picture I’ll be showing, but in the light of the day, the beads and crystals have just this lovely glow and shine to them!! After finishing off the fringe, it was time to start the strap-just a simple purple color Delica in 11/0 and the herringbone stitch!! It’s a lovely and light-weight way to make the strap, but it can take a bit of time to make it😊. It did indeed take me a bit of time just to finish the strap but I certainly did by last Thursday and added the bail and finished the necklace completely-except for adding on the findings and doing the final photo shoot. Let’s take a look back at some of those working photos and the last completed working photo of it being done😃. Hopefully soon I will be able Roger it up and listed but it may not be up til after the New Year😉

Where I started last Friday

Next up…the most recent WIP-the tulip bracelet!! I began this one last Friday and managed to finish it up this week on Wednesday 😃. Now, for this WIP i did not keep up with my bead counts or the bead rows…I just beaded along and got lost in the weaving of the beads😉. For this bracelet I wanted to go with a more pastel/subtle color palette and when I first started I was a little unsure weather that kind of palette was going to work, but as I got further along, I just loved the look of it and the subtle beauty of it all coming together. Usually I like to tell you of the bead counts and rows and showing the photos to go along with it as well where I am beginning and ending for each day, but since I did not really do that this time I just gathered some of the working photos and put them in a collage for you all to see the working progress and finished working photo😊. Hopefully during this break with the holidays I will get the final photo shoot done and have it up as well after the New Years!! Let’s take a look at some of those pictures😉!!

Moving on to Listings…unfortunately with all the hubbub of the holidays, celebrating daughter’s birthday, going to Art shows, as well as Christmas parties, I have not had the chance to get new listing done and put up in my shop😊. However, I would like to share with you all the fact that I do still have a few past available kits in my shop-a lot have sold out but there are still a few bracelet & art kits 😃. Also, I do have a special section just for patterns…I just might have that something special you have been looking for or even something you might not have expected to have😉. It’s been awhile since I have posted about my pattern section-but yep it’s there and do you know, if there is something you are looking for and is not there, you can pm me and I can work with you to create that special pattern you are looking for?!?! Anyways…let me show you the collage I have of what I believe I have left of the kits in my shop-you’ll find the link to that section under the photo😉. If you are looking for patterns…I’ll have that here for you too😁

Who is ready for some K~max Klub News and updates?!?! Last week we had Karen share with us the fact that she loved the Daisy Bracelet kit from me so much that she decided to buy more beads to make another one and turn it into a book mark to give as a gift!! If you missed seeing it last week I’ll be sharing it here😃. This week, we had Jessica share with us her finished 4 Snowflake bead-along wall arts that she made for her kids teachers!!! They both did incredible jobs and it makes me so happy to see people enjoying my Kits, patterns, & bead-alongs!! Don’t forget, if you are members of my Klub, you can go into the file tab on our Facebook page and find any past bead-along to do at your own leisure😉. Sometime after the New Year, I’ll re-group and see what we can get up to do next…so keep your eyes 👀 on the look out😉. Let’s take a look at what Karen and Jessica have shared with us!!

I want to thank all of you for all of your continued support and for following me through the year/s. It sure has been a crazy kind of year but you all have made it a great one. I love beading and creating-my biggest passion and being able to share it with all of you and knowing that you all support/follow me throughout all my creations means the world to me😍💕😍. I want to wish you all A Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year!! I already have lots of exciting new things I’d like to do for the upcoming New Year and I hope you’ll all continue to follow me and share in my joy for creating and bead weaving😃. Stay Safe & Healthy and I’ll see you all back in the New Year of 2022!!!!
