A New Year & A New Beginning-A Welcome Back!!

Happy Friday & Welcome to the New Year of 2022!!!! How has everyone’s New Year been going so far?!?! I am back and ready to begin this year and I’m very excited about what I’ll have in store for this year!!! These past two weeks I have been back at my beading tray, beading away on the 8×10 WIP Kawaii style Lilo😃. I’ve been so busy beading away and creating new patterns that I have not had the time to finalize some of the past WIP’s I finished before the New Years, to be able to put up the new listings-so no new listings yet but I do still have a few past kits available!! So, I will be doing a review of the past two weeks on the Lilo WIP and show you the beginning of the new WIP I started today😉. I also have a quick update from my K~Max Klub…let’s get started, shall we?!?!

Let’s talk about the WIP of the 8×10 Kawaii style Lilo😃. I started this one last Monday (1/3/22) right after the New Year!! It is definitely a big tapestry and will take me a bit of time to complete-it is, after all a 8×10!! For this WIP, I did a little better at keeping track of my rows-not so much bead counts but I definitely kept better track of my rows😉. One thing I am definitely trying to get better at is keeping track so you all can get a better track of how many rows & beads go into a project! Like most of my art tapestries, I am starting out with the first 5 rows-only back ground color so far. I pulled my rows 5 at a time and then beaded each set throughout the day and by the end I of that day I had gotten to row 25…more background and then some hair. Then on last Tuesday I came back and started off with 30 rows-again not to much to see yet, it is mostly background and more hair😊. Don’t worry there will be more appearing soon!! By the end of that day and pulling out my rows and beading away I had reached row 50-an eyebrow, forehead and something else began to show. Then we come to last Wednesday and I kicked my day off at row 55-I can’t believe that at that time no one had still not been able to guess who it was…but by the end of that day and adding some more rows on to get to row 75, someone finally guessed that it was Lilo!! At that point both of her eyes were almost complete along with her nose, ear and most of the flower petals done. Moving on to last Thursday, I started my day off at row 80 and worked my way through the day pulling those sets of 5 rows and beading them each time and got to row 100-that’s about 1/3 of the way through the whole tapestry!! I decided to go big with an 8×10 because she was just too cute to make on the smaller side😁. Just look at those eyes and smile showing already!! Last Friday, I started at row 105 and worked my way through the day and ended up finishing up at row 125 with the top of her dress starting to peek out. Over last weekend, I didn’t get to bead a whole lot but I did get some done so that when I came back this Monday, I began at row 150. Part of her dress was done and the top part of her arms were as well. At the end of that day I came to stop at row 170 with 12,580 beads!!! Tuesday I started at around row 175 with more work done on her dress and arms-and even more of her long hair. By the end of that day, I had gotten to row 195 (now at about 2/3 of the way done) with more dress and arms completed. Wednesday I started my day off @ row 225 and beaded until it was time to get my dinner going and stopped at row 245 with 18,130 beads-dress now almost completed. Thursday I kicked my day off at around 255 rows with the dress now completed and the beginning of her legs peeking out through. Later on that day, I ended up being able to finish her completely, with 20,350 beads in total!!!! Just look at those cute sandals and her little feet😁. I just love how she turned out-the Olán is to hopefully get her framed this weekend but now, let’s show you all some of those working photos and then put away those color beads to start pulling for a new WIP for tomorrow 😃!!

Next up, I want to get to an update from my K~Max Klub😃. Karen has posted an update of a bookmark she made from a pattern she got from my shop😁. I just might have to consider doing something similar for an up and coming Monthly Kit😉. She did a really nice job crating this Celtic Ribbon pattern and turning into a wonderful bookmark for a gift!! Thanks for sharing with us all Karen!! Anyone else finish or start on a past bead-along, kit or pattern from me?!?! If so, we’d all love to see how they are turning/turned out!! I am and have been working on new patterns and new patterns for monthly kits and hope to start showing and posting them soon-so that is some news to keep your eyes open about😉. For now that’s all I have for updates & news-let’s take a look @ Karen’s Celtic Bookmark she made from my pattern!!!

Time to talk about the new WIP i just started today!!!😃. This one will go much quicker-it’s only a 5×7😉. I started my day off with 5 rows & 230 beads…mostly background and…hair😁. I will continue to bead along on this character( can’t say yet who it is)-no one has guessed who it will be yet and see how far I can get today…REMEMBER, that you can check out my Facebook Fan Page, Google+ Page, or my Instagram Pagethroughout the day to watch updates and working photos!

Moving on to Listings…unfortunately with all the hubbub of everything going on, I have not had the chance to get new listing done and put up in my shop😊. However, I would like to share with you all the fact that I do still have a few past available kits in my shop-a lot have sold out but there are still a few bracelet & art kits 😃. Also, I do have a special section just for patterns…I just might have that something special you have been looking for or even something you might not have expected to have😉. It’s been awhile since I have posted about my pattern section-but yep it’s there and do you know, if there is something you are looking for and is not there, you can pm me and I can work with you to create that special pattern you are looking for?!?! Anyways…let me show you the collage I have of what I believe I have left of the kits in my shop-you’ll find the link to that section under the photo😉.

That will bring us to the end for now…I am hoping to still catch up on getting final photos and putting up new listings soon!! That will also include hopefully, soon too, the new monthly kits and other patterns😃. Keep an eye out and I’ll be letting you all know soon…well I’m off for now but I’ll be back next week😉.
