Hello & Happy Friday!! ☀️ How is everyone doing?!?! It’s been a bit since I last posted a blog…with kids out for the summer I’ve had to juggle around a few things as well as preparing to go on a long vacation out to California to visit with family & friends😃. The last time I posted a blog I was working on the hand blown glass cab by @ustayglassy (Chris Titus)…I have finished working photos on that to show you on that WIP as well as the new WIP I started last Wednesday (6/16) of a 5×7 Jack Skellington that I am currently still working on. I have been able to get some photo sessions done on some of the previous WIP’s but not have the time to do my editing 🙁…hopefully after having a much needed vacation, I’ll have the editing done and some new listings up to show you😉. If anyone is still interested in Art Kits or the bracelet kits, I still do have some left in stock!! There also has been some updates and news in my K~Max Klub…let’s get the beads rolling😉😉😉
I want to first go back to last week-Monday (6/14)😁. That is when I was finishing up the front side of the handblown glass cab by @ustayglassy (Chris Titus)😃. By that time I had added the fringe and added more rows to tighten the front around the cab…I just love the mauve/teal color combo!! Then Tuesday (6/15) I started working the rope of the necklace in a simple tubular herringbone stitch with the same teal/mauves I used on the cab design…unfortunately my working photos for that day never poster for some reason🤔. Wednesday (6/16) I finished the rope and got final working photos of the whole piece without the findings…I will show you some of those photos just in case you missed them😃!!
Before I move on to the other WIP, let me show you some picture collages of the Past Available Bracelet & Art Kits😃. Some of the kits shown on the collages might not still be available in my shop-the limited stock I have/had might have been recently bought out!! But if you love my Kits and are looking for some new projects, these would be perfect for you!! Also good news about them…is that they are all discounted from my regular kit prices ( that’s why they are disappearing 😉). Only way to know which ones are available is to stop in my shop and take a look!! Once these are gone, that will be it for my kits for a bit…will be re-thinking about them maybe in the fall. Here they are…come & take a look😉!!
Now, let’s move on to my Jack Skellington 5×7 WIP😃!! This, I started last Wednesday (6/16) and I am currently still working on him. I started with about 5 rows done with mostly white background and the start of his round head taking shape😊. By the end of that day, I had finished about a total of 20 rows (sorry, I didn’t really keep track of my rows/bead counts while beading him-he is just so much fun to bead & I got too distracted😉😉). Thursday morning came(6/17) and now his eyebrows were taking shape…think it was around row 25 I started that day😊. Had fun beading all afternoon until it was time to get my dinner going and finished up with his eyes about halfway done and the white appearing in his eyes (about 50 rows give or take). Then that Friday (6/18) I came back and had already had some more of his eyes beaded. Through out that day I beaded til I had to stop and ended with about 70-75 rows and his eyes were basically completed 😃. During that weekend (19th/20th) I was able to get another 50 rows done!! So…this Monday I came back to my bead tray and had about 120 rows done and his ‘nose’ and smile were done!! I worked through the day and ended up finishing after getting his neck & a hint of his suit collar done. Tuesday I woke up and was at the bead mat-already added another few rows with more of Jack’s collar showing. Tuesday night I found myself wrapping up with part of his suit jacket done😃. Wednesday was another fun day beading…on his suit jacket, of which felt like it was going to go on forever!!!-but it’s a 5×7, so of course it will be ending…😁. When it came time for me to put him down, I still hadn’t arrived at his hands, but the majority of his jacket was done!! Who wants to see some of the working photos?!?! Ok!! It’s time for some new/updates from my K~Max Klub group!! As of this week all sets of rows are up for June’s bead-along 😃. Rows 1-50/51-100/& 101-144…YEP!!! They are all there on our Klub page 😁. Remember to show us how yours is turning out!! On to other news…Jessica has been posting updates on her 5×7 tulip bead-along from a few months back and last week, she finally finished the whole pattern!! It turned out so wonderful and in case you didn’t get to see it I will share it here with you😉. This week she posted another 5×7 pattern that she had gotten from my shop-it’s a relatively new pattern and very different from my usual style of patterns…anyways, she posted it on our page and showed her final work with us and in case you missed that one too I’ll be sharing that too😉.
Well my dear friends/followers, that is going to be it for now and want to wish everyone a happy beginning of Summer!! Like I have previously said, it’s been a long time since I have take a vacation and I have gotten the opportunity to do so and will be heading out to California to visit with my family and friends!!
