Hello 🌞!! Happy Friday!! It’s been a while since I last posted a blog…as the weather warms up it is becoming more and more busier for me-especially with the Art Markets & Local Shows I’ve been going to😃. How has everyone been doing lately?!?! Are you all excited for summer?!?! I know I am😉. Over the past week to week and a half I’ve been working on the Princess Leia 5×7 Art WIP and I am excited I got to finish her this week and even start a new WIP!! I’ve been so super busy with the markets and shows I have not had time to photograph and get listed some of the WIP’s I have completed…but I promise…soon I will have some news listings-in the meantime, I do still have some very limited quantities of past kits available!! This week I also have some great news/updates from my K~Max Klub…what do you say…shall we get started ?!?!
Let’s begin with the WIP of Princess Leia 5×7 Art😃. The last I posted about this in the blog (about 2 Friday’s ago) I was just beginning it!! That same Friday night I left off on my Facebook page with 25 rows being done and being able to see lots of background and hair!! Since then I have been able to finish her up (as of this Thursday morning) and I am really excited about how she turned out!! The hardest part of creating her for me, was being able to get the shape and depth of creating her hair buns…I think I did her justice…what do you think? This was a pattern that had 198 rows and a little over 9,100 beads!! I will be working on getting her framed and photographed soon to be a new listing😉. In the meantime, let me show you some of the working photos from over the past week and a half of her progress to her being done!!
Time to share with you all a listing…these are not new but I do have some left😉. These are the past kits I still have in my shop!! Very LIMITED QUANTITIES & once they are gone- they will stay forever GONE!! Come and check out what I have left…here you’ll see a few examples of past kits I might still have in stock-if not, someone already grabbed it up😁!!
Time to move on to the new WIP!! The handblown glass cab I got at one of my recent Art Markets!! I got to meet the person (Chris Titus) and he made this special one just for me😉 @ustayglassy 😍. I just love the colors on this glass cab…I have a pic trying to show colors by holding it up in the sun because the pictures I take while beading around it, you can’t see how awesome the colors are-just see it being dark and cloudy. I got to start this WIP Thursday morning right after finishing up the Princess Leia 5×7😁…let’s see if I can do the creation justice! With this project, I will be bringing out the mauve/purples and teal color beads-I just love this color combo together!! I got started by building up the walls in a tubular peyote stitch using a mauve 11/0 delica bead. I also put in the beads for the hanger and then kept building the wall up higher until it was the right height to make sure it would hold the glass cab-it has to be strong enough to hold it in there because remember, I don’t use any glue to hold them in place!!😊. After finishing that up and the main wall was tight to hold it in, I stated to add my base beads for adding a fringe in a Teal color 11/0 Delica bead. Today I started my day off by using a shade of teal 15/0 bead to tighten up the walls closer to the cab on the backside…let’s see where the day takes me….😃. Next up…time for an update/news from my K~Max Klub😃! I have finally gotten time to create a pattern for our next bead-along for June!! It is going to be a 3×5 Art-A beach theme pattern!! As of this week I have put up the photo of the pattern as well as the color numbers with their counts on our group page!! Very soon, (you will have to keep an eye out) I will be posting on our page the first set of rows!! Also, have you all seen the update Jessica put up on our page from the previous bead-along?!?! The tulips 5×7 Art?!?! I’ll be showing it to all of you here just in case you missed it but she is almost done!! It is turning out lovely and can’t wait to see it finished!!
