Hello & Happy Monday ♥!! Can you all believe that it is the end of September already?!?! In just a few short days, it will already be October and that means there will be a new pattern & kit-make sure you grab this month’s kit while you still can ☺. Are you all ready for the week in review from 9/19-9/25?!?! It ended up being a short week for me only because life got in the way and there was a day that I had to take off-not completely off, but I wasn’t able to be on the computer and update things like I usually do. This week’s blog post will have the final working photos of the Mushu WIP from last week and then the new WIP of the September Kit sample and then will have some listings and some news from my K~Max Klub 😉. Let’s go ahead and get those beads rolling!!
Okay, let us start this past week’s review with the WIP of the 5×7 of Mushu-the kawaii style of the dragon from Mulan. Over the previous weekend I definitely had the time to bead and get quite far compared to where I last left you all at!! I ended up starting that Monday 9/19, at row 110 (5,060 beads) with his face completely done and his ears almost done as well. The beginning of his body was showing, and his ‘beard’ was still growing. I love how his eyes look like they are misting and about to cry-sometimes it is hard to capture those kinds of moments with the beads but here, you can tell there is that sheen in his eyes like he is sad about something. By the end of my ‘workday’ that day, I finished at row 130 (5,980 beads) and his ears done, more coming out on his body and still more growing on his beard. Then the next day 9/20, I started my day off at row 145 (6,670 beads) with his body getting longer as well as his beard…now is getting a bit slower as it is more repetitive in the rows because it isn’t adding anything new, but he is getting there and will soon be getting done!! When I finished for Tuesday, I ended up stopping at row 165 (7,590 beads) and his beard was finally done but I still had to add more for his body!! Wednesday was the day that I unfortunately was not able to be on the computer, however, I did bead and was able to actually finish up Mushu and get final photos and list him too!! Let’s look back at those working photos and later I will have his new listing to show you ☺!!
Next up, let take a look at a new listing of the bracelet I had finished from the previous week before starting the Mushu WIP!! This was a 2-drop peyote bracelet pattern of a fun and colorful turtle!! I call it ‘Turtle and Flower’ Beadwoven Bracelet. I just love that bright and beautiful purple background and the bright flowers that enhance the turtle and how cute and fun he is…shows off that smile and happy they are making him. They are literally brightening up his day ☺. This is a fun bracelet to wear and dress up almost anything and can be worn any time of the year for a ‘just for fun’ kind of attitude 😉. September is Ending soon!! Get it while you can!! Time to do the Monthly Peyote Bracelet in a Box Kit!!! This month, we have a Lacey Ombré Pattern!! This is a 2-Drop peyote pattern and each kit will contain everything you need to create a Krafty Max Originally designed bracelet: A printed word chart In 2-drop peyote (a color chart can be requested and be sent digitally), a needle, All Delica beads, plated bar ends and findings. Kit dates are as follows: Available from September 1, 2022 until September 30, 2022 and then Kits will be mailed on or by October 8, 2022. A little FYI about kits…The PATTERN is ONLY available with these kits!!After September 30th these patterns/kits will no longer be Available!! Delica Bead colors are subject to change!!
Now, let’s go on to the other WIP I worked on that week!! Starting on Thursday 9/22, I kicked my day off with the sample of this month kit with row 10 (180 beads) and it was mostly background with a hint of color coming out in the corner. By the end of that day, I had finished up until row 50 (900 beads) and you could already see some color changing in the leaves…you could do this type of pattern with almost any type of colors, but I think when I was designing it, I was in a fall kind of mood and hence the colors that were chosen ☺. By the time I got back to my tray on Friday morning and started my day, I had 80 rows (1,440 beads) …those colors!! I pulled my rows of ten and beaded throughout the day before I had to stop and get things ready for the show at Riverside Art Market for the weekend and had to stop at row 120 (2,160 beads) with more color changing happening!! Last but least, I have some news from my K~Max Klub!! This past week I had 2 members post about finished WIP’s of patterns/kit/bead a long from me!! Both Karen and Jessica showed off 2 each that they recently have finished, and I just love how they turned out-so much so that I’d like to share and show them off to you all!! Have you been working on something?!?! Whew!! I thought that was going to be a short week in review since I was not there for the whole week, but it ended up being quite a bit-I forgot that I had put up new patterns to show off that week ☺! Anyways, I will continue on working on the sample for this month’s peyote kit-probably finish it off today or tomorrow morning and start something new 😉!!
