Hello ☀️ & Happy Friday!! It’s good to be back and feeling almost myself now-and beading!! Last week I was completely out because I had thrown my back out and was in horrible pain-had to be on meds and lots of rest per my doctor!! Thankfully by the end of last week I was able to start moving around some and bead a little and even with the help of my daughter, was able to go to an away show during the weekend😊. This week I came back on Monday and was energized and ready to bead!! This past weekend was also a time of great thinking and some hard decisions for me as well, you see the kits I have been making for each month have not been selling that great and while I’d love to keep them and continue them, I feel at this time it is best to not continue them😢. However, I will be working to put more patterns in my shop and if at anytime they become in great demand, I will bring kits back😉. With all that said, let’s see what I have for you all this week…a finished WIP, another WIP that is almost done( maybe I will finish it by this evening 😉) then I have some past available kits still in my shop and some updates from my K~Max Klub!! Let’s get started…shall we?!?!
Let’s begin with the previous WIP I started the week before…the Ursala 5×7 Kawaii Art😃. Since the last time you saw me working on it, I have been able to do some work on it…last time I posted about her, I had 100 rows & 4,800 beads on her done and Monday I came back and started my day off with 145 rows completed and 6,960 beads in!! Her legs(some) are done and there’s more yet still to do!! Her necklace is done and it is a bright and pretty color( the necklace that collects voice)…by the end of Monday I had done 165 rows with a total of 7,920 beads. More legs are appearing and more are starting to show…at this point, I think I’ll be able to finish her by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest…let’s move on to Tuesday to see where I started and finished😉. After being able to bead a little more Monday night before bed, I started my Tuesday off with 180 rows and 8,640 beads…wow!!-Look at how many legs she has now!! I pulled my rows 5 at a time and kept going until I had to get dinner ready-I ended up being able to finish her with a total of 204 rows & 9,792 beads!!!! All that is left to do is frame her and take the final photo shoot, then hopefully list her ASAP😃. That means on Wednesday I will be starting something new…but for now, here are some of the working photos to check out 😉
Before I go on to the next WIP, let me just share with you some of the available past kits that are in my shop!! Remember, these are available on a first come first serve basis and are limited quantity. The great thing about these kits are that they have been discounted from my original kit prices!! If you don’t see one-that means they are gone and they will not be offered again!! So come and see which ones are left while they last😉!!
Now, let’s move on to the next WIP 😃. This is a small cab in mauve and grey that I started this past Wednesday!! I decided to stay with the grey tones for the base around the cab (the wall) in 11/0 delicas and as I built it up, I switched it to a pinkish-mauve tone 15/0 seed bead to start tightening it up around the back side, then moved back to a silver/grey 15/0 to tighten up even more…and to finish it up-I did a row of the pinkish-mauve 11/0 Delica beads😃. That is where I finished up for Wednesday 😃. Thursday I came back to start the front side of the cab by adding some pinkish-mauve seed beads to begin the tightening up process around the front. I kept working around, switching to grey tone in seed beads then back to adding the pinkish-mauve Delica beads to get a nice frame around the front of the cab😉. Can you see the 3 beads sticking out at the top?!?! That is where I will be adding the hanger soon…but now that the front is done, it is time to move on to the start of the herringbone rope!! I used the same grey tone Delica beads that I used for the base of the cab to start the rope and then decided to add a simple twist with the pinkish-mauve Delica beads…I got a. good start on it Thursday but was unable to finish it. So, now here we are, Friday, and I am continuing to work on the herringbone rope with a simple twist and then will get to the hanger…let’s see if I’ll be able to finish it today😉…REMEMBER, that you can check out my Facebook Fan Page, Google+ Page, or my Instagram Page throughout the day to watch updates and working photos! Are you all ready for some K~Max Klub News?!?! Well, here we go…Some of you(my members) might not have seen that I put up TWO versions of the bead-along for March😃. I made a pattern of a field of tulips in a 5×7 art but I also decided to do a simplified bracelet/bookmark version of it as well😉. So you can do one or both and have fun with them!! Also, all past bead alongs are also there-you can find them all on out K~Max Klub file tab on our page!! All I ask is that you(my members) to enjoy and share them with us-inspiring me and all of your fellow headers with your creativity😉.
